     This month, the R&D department mainly focuses on the research and development of new lanthanum and cerium light conversion agents and their application in greenhouse films. The experiment involves synthesizing a new type of ultraviolet-excited red light conversion agent by doping and vulcanizing naturally-distributed lanthanum-cerium compounds. The project was completed by Lanzhou University, Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute, and Baotou Hongbote Technology Co., Ltd.

Based on the literature and experimental results currently available, it is found that under blue light irradiation:

 1.Ba1.99Zn0.99S3:1.0%Eu2+,1.0%Mn2+Doped a small amount of lanthanum appears dark red, figure 1;

  2.The cerium-doped samarium in the oxide is pale yellow, figure 2;

     In the light of the above experimental phenomena, the R & D Department will adjust the content of lanthanum. The oxide will later change the wavelength of the emission light by adding other rare earth elements according to the literature, finally, the uv-excited red light conversion agent was synthesized to meet the experimental requirements.

     Compared with the existing light conversion film on the market, the new light conversion film with lanthanum and cerium has better stability and is not easy to be oxidized and decomposed. It can also improve the utilization ratio of sunlight and promote the growth of crops, increase yields while reducing the use of pesticides. It is of great economic value and scientific significance for the green production, economy and development of modern agriculture, and also a new field for the development of lanthanum and cerium rare earth in the future.
