On May 23, the General Office of the Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region organized and scheduled a series of press conferences on the theme of "Promoting Inner Mongolia's modernization with two major events as the main focus" (the second event -- special event of the Department of Finance of the autonomous region).
The autonomous region has anchored the strategic goals of ensuring national energy security, industrial chain and supply chain security, focusing on key industrial chains such as modern coal chemical industry, wind, light, hydrogen, storage, biopharmaceutical, rare earth and non-ferrous metals to enhance the economic strength of industrial energy and promote high-quality economic development of the autonomous region.
In 2023, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region allocated a special fund of 2.5 billion yuan for industrial economy, focusing on supporting the development of industrial clusters and industrial chains. A special science and technology fund of 200 million yuan was allocated to support the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Energy Laboratory and the national Rare Earth New Materials Technology Innovation Center. 250 million yuan will be allocated for strategic prospecting, and a new round of strategic prospecting will be carried out.
